In September, 2003 I opened a second 10,000 Sq. Ft. facility located a few miles inland from my Ventura Harbor. Here is where we will perform
building and restoring small wooden boats (6ft to 70ft), spar making, interiors, runabouts, etc.
Our first project at the new shop was a 1947 Dragon Class Sloop, which arrived early October, 2003. It was a total restoration (replacement?) with varnished topsides using modern techniques to achieve a strong rigid structure
that can be "dry stored" and trailerable, yet retain the classic looks and keep maintenance to a minimum. This was completed in the fall of 2005.
The new facility further enhances our abilities to expedite repairs and restorations at various boatyards in Southern California, for, with a crew of six, progress on a given restoration can proceed come rain or shine.
Owners of wooden boats in Southern California will now have a full service facility available for all their repairs, restorations and "new build" needs.
