new sternpost ready to fit
hull framign for wooden boats

Current Projects: Cho-Cho-San

This is a 41-foot Double Gaff Yawl built in 1921 in Vancouver, BC for Mr. Richard Genge, Commodore of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club. As with "Tamerlane" her 80-odd years have allowed her iron fasteners to nearly destroy her. When restoration (resurrection?) is completed only about 10% of the original structure will remain.

Photo 1 (above) shows the new purpleheart sternpost ready to fit. (Note tenon at lower end.)

Photo 2 (L) shows a perfect wood-to-wood fit to the new horn timber, shaft log timber, deadwood and shoe.

Photo 3 (below) shows the continuing framing work done by the rest of the crew.

OTHER PROJECTS

"Stardust," a 21-foot schooner - New build.

A 1947 "Dragon Class" (29-foot racing sloop - Total rebuild.
