Now the transom was planked up, using 5/8" thick inner planks of Douglas fir and 3/4" thick outer planks of teak glued to the inner planking and with tight, edge-glued seams to create a strong, attractive transom. A new, upgraded swim step was built and installed. |

Once the framing was completed, the new Douglas fir hull planking was installed, with many planks being 40 feet long. |
