Repairs to "Elvica" - 50 foot De Fever Trawler Yacht.
The hull was first "wooded" to uncover many problems that were found in the structure such as rotten, loose planks, rotted frames and deterioration of the weather decks.
A general "looseness" was noted throughout, and so a temporary external "skeleton" of laminated oak frames fastened through the original planks and frames was installed to prevent the
hull from becoming misshapen. This technique produced good results, as you will see later.
